The painted dog is endangered by human conflict. These dogs inspired me due to their markings not being all the same, like us they are individually unique. Painted in monochromatic, to show interpretations that as the population of the dogs decline so will the great African plain's colours.

Tanya King is an outsider, monochromatic artist, whose career in teaching in contrast is very colourful. After travelling Africa, her favourite place is that of Kenya. Her interest of animals and shamanic culture has grown since. She continues to paint in her own expressions of natural worlds.
