I was lucky enough to visit Chapada Diamantina National park in Brazil, a place where iconic flat-topped cliffs frame deep valleys whose sides are still covered in trees. Waterfalls appear seemingly out of nowhere and each has its own local name (the one I painted is Cachoeira dos Funis). Many species are unique to the region. It will always be a place very close to my heart. I can't express the magic of the place in words so I'll try to let the paints do that.

I'm a self-employed artist, registered veterinary nurse and currently work at the Scottish Exotic Animal Rescue in Nairn. Animals and the conservation of our remaining natural places make up the biggest part of my life and of my art. I've been painting animals (domestic and wildlife), since graduating from University where I studied Zoology more than 20 years ago, but have become a self-employed artist recently.
