The drawing of a Bornean Orangutan mother and baby came from a photograph taken by Joel Sartore on the National Geographic website under the endangered species page. They reside predominantly in parts of Malaysia and Indonesia. Such gentle creatures like these are critically endangered due to continuing deforestation.

I am a 19 year old London-based art student, currently having just finished a foundation one year course and moving on to study a degree in fine art. I love portraiture, but started out drawing animals from a young age and loved to draw wildlife, particularly from the regular adoption packs of my adopted tiger.
