Przewalskis horses were once nearly extinct. I have always been fascinated with these stocky, dun horses and was delighted to see a herd in Scotland's Highland Wildlife Park. As these horses were depicted in cave art, painting this ancient breed also gives me a connection with the first known wildlife artists.

Wild, untamed nature. Rona Innes formative years in the Caledonian pine forests of the Cairngorms and more recent rainforest expeditions are at the heart of her work. Rona grew up in a wildlife loving family. She studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths College and now works from her studio in Edinburgh.
