The inspiration behind my painting was brought about by watching a Steve Backshall program. He highlighted how fragile our ecosystems are especially the artic region. It was sad to see the bears food sources disappearing due to thinning and disappearing ice. It was so sad to see. We need to reduce global warming and Polar Bears are beautiful and a challenge to paint.

I am an amateur artist, I have only recently just taken up painting again during lockdown. I had forgotten how much I love painting. Animals are my favourite to paint. I am a animal, nature and environmental person from East Scotland. I am 42 years old.
