Black bellied pangolins (Phataginus tetradactyla) live in western and central Africa and are threatened by agricultural development, hunting, and droughts due to climate change. While they are protected throughout much of their range, little is known about their ecology and behaviour.

Jen Muir is an illustrator and ecologist from Scotland. Their illustration work has focussed on animal conservation, collaborating with the Wildcat Action Trust, Bats without Borders, and Songbird Survival to raise awareness of conservation issues.
