African elephants are architects of their environment, digging waterholes, spreading seeds - gardeners of sorts. Losing them would devastate their ecosystem and those who share it. For this reason I depicted their habitat in detail, showing it as much a part of what defines this species as their tusks and trunks.

I am a 22 year old final year veterinary student at Nottingham University, originally from Worcestershire. I have also been a volunteer with Twycross Zoo for the last year. I am extremely passionate about conservation and with painting as a hobby this often manifests in my artwork.
