Found mostly in Asia and Africa, various species of the Pangolin range from being vulnerable and endangered. I find them fascinating, being the only mammal with keratin scales, which form perfectly into a small ball when they feel threatened. Sadly this is why they are being hunted as their scales are sought after. I am inspired by pattern and shape and thoroughly enjoyed painting each scale.

Angela is an artist living on the coast of Pembrokeshire, South West Wales. She works mostly with wool, felting, spinning, knitting and crochet but also paints on occasion with watercolours and ink. She is inspired by the natural world around her.
