There are less than 7000 cheetahs in the wild. I met and photographed several cheetahs at a sactuary when in South Africa. I was struck by their majesty, and the intesitiy of their gaze. I wanted to convey that, and to invite the viewer to connect with the Cheetah in a very direct way. This work is based on the photos and sketches I took of a Cheetah called Shadow and other Cheetahs at the sanctuary.

Returning to making art after a long illness. I am now a full time campaigning artist whose art carries an important message. I spent a number of years in South Africa and still return to visit from time to time, where I have the priviledge of seeing many magnificent large wild animals first hand. I have an interest in conservation and environmental issues, politics, and disability rights, particuarly supporting fellow autistics. I am dyslexic as well as autistic, but require no adjustments other than to make your communication with me direct and straightforward.
